WELCOME TO FISHER - MRS KIM SOUPIDIS
‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.’
- NELSON MANDELA
Welcome all students, parents and carers to the 2020 school year. New decade fresh start.
Our stage 3 classes are named after prominent past Australian Prime Ministers, which is fitting for our Stage 3 classes as they take up the post of leaders and role models within Tuggerah Public School for 2020. We are continuing with our fresh approach to teaching by using AVID which is designed to boost academic results.
A – advancement
V – via
I – Individual
D - Determination
I personally am looking forward to working with your child to set goals and watch them achieve these goals through grit and determination. Class expectations on behaviour and work will be set together and students must be held accountable for their actions and performance. Assessments will initially be conducted so that I can gather a strong understanding and deliver meaningful learning for them.
This semester will see students’ study Government in History in preparation for our Stage 3 trip to Canberra. State of Matter in Science will be exploring gases, liquids and solids, Maths we will be exploring Stage 3 concepts and Literacy will see us explore a variety of novels and texts including Imaginative, Persuasive and Informative.
Homework will be given, and it will be excepted that every child complete and hand in homework daily or weekly. It will consist of concepts that are being taught in the class and it should be encourage for students to read regularly at home and be exposed to a variety of genres.
