Library 2024
Our library has a diverse range of quality books for students to read for pleasure as well as search for specific information to support their classroom learning. Students require a library bag for borrowing and books may be taken home for one week at a time.
Students have access to World Book Online at home and school via the NSW Student Portal. Username: tuggerah Password: tuggerah

● Library Lovers Day – February 14th
● Harmony Week: Harmony Week 2024 will take place from 20th to 26th March 2024
● National Simultaneous Storytime National Simultaneous Storytime will take place on Wednesday 22 May 2024
● NAIDOC Week: Held across the country from 7-14 July 2024, NAIDOC Week will celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme chosen by the National NAIDOC Committee, is Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud. The theme honours the enduring strength and vitality of First Nations culture – with fire a symbol of connection to Country, to each other, and to the rich tapestry of traditions that define Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
● Children’s Book Week: The 2024 Children's Book Week theme; Reading is Magic, celebrates reading stories and their amazing power to transport minds Our Book Parade that will be held during this week (date to be confirmed) and students may come to school dressed as favourite book characters or interesting vocabulary words.
● Premier’s Reading Challenge: K-2 students will complete the challenge in library and 3-6 students will complete the challenge independently. Books read at home can also be added to student reading logs (3-6). Rules and booklists can be accessed online at https://online.det.nsw.edu.au/prc/home.html
