WELCOME TO PLATYPUS - MISS ELISSA LIDDLE & MRS REBECCA CLIFFORD
This year Class Platypus has two passionate teachers, Miss Liddle (Mon, Tue, Wed) and Mrs Clifford (Thur, Fri). Our school and classroom promotes Respect, Responsibility, Excellence and Resilience across the school all day, every day. There is also a strong focus in our class on achieving our personal best, resilience and encouraging others to achieve.
Our weekly routines are inclusive of:
- Library: Library day is Tuesday with Mrs Duke. Students are encouraged to bring their library bag every Tuesday and return and borrow new books.
- Sport: Sport will be every Wednesday. Students are required to wear their sports uniform.
- Fruit Break: Each morning we have fruit break at 9am. Please include a piece of fruit that is easy to eat in your child’s lunch box each day. Fruit break should only take 5-10 minutes and will occur during Home Class time when administration and check in activities take place.
- Parent Helpers: Parent helpers are always appreciated in the classroom. Please contact me on Class Dojo if you are interested. You will need a current Working With Children Check which needs to be handed in to the Office prior to helping in the classroom.
- Assembly: Infants assembly is on Friday at 2:25-2:55pm fortnightly. Parents are invited to attend these assemblies.
- Homework: Each Monday your child will bring home homework. Homework will consist of tasks required to be completed and returned each Friday. The sight words will be tested in class and will be given the next list of sight words as required.
· Personal belongings: Please ensure that any personal belongings (including jumpers, hats, drink bottles and lunch boxes) are clearly labelled with names.
· RFF with Mrs Cook: Mrs Cook will be teaching Music, Dance, Drama, Technology and Geography.
We are looking forward to a wonderful year with Class Platypus. Should you require any further information or if you have any concerns at all regarding your child, we would be very happy to meet with you at a mutually convenient time.
