Uniform

Our current uniform shop is P&C based, it is run by volunteers and all profits are returned to the P&C.

The Uniform Shop has the essential role of providing the school community with a centralised base from which they can purchase the uniform essentials at a reasonable, subsidised price. Our school sports shirt (with house colours) and all other items of clothing (including hats) with our school logo, are available through the Uniform Shop and at Lowes.

The school community can purchase their uniforms in a number of different ways, visiting us during the opening times or placing an order through Flexischools.

You can download and print out our uniform shop order form from this webpage. Order forms are also available from the school office.

Payments can be made either by cash or EFTPOS with credit card facilities available. (Please note EFTPOS attracts a $1.00 surcharge)

Here at the Uniform Shop we aim to provide the school community with a stress free, easily accessible way of ensuring our students present in the best possible manner.

**UNIFORM UPDATE**

Dear Families,

Following consultation with staff, students and our school community, we are pleased to share an update to the Tuggerah Public School uniform.

The feedback received supported simplifying our current shorts options to create a more consistent and practical uniform for all students.

Currently, our uniform includes grey cargo shorts worn Monday to Thursday and navy basketball shorts worn on Fridays for sport. Moving forward, black microfibre shorts will become the standard shorts option for all students from Kindergarten to Year 6, five days a week. The new black shorts are a unisex style designed for everyday school wear and sporting activities. Families are asked to ensure that shorts are appropriately fitted, allowing a comfortable and relaxed fit that provides students with the freedom of movement needed for physical education and sport.

Girls may also wear the summer dress or everyday culottes with their everyday school polo. Bike shorts and other gym wear are not part of the school uniform and should not be worn.

During cooler weather, the existing royal blue fleecy zip-up school jacket will remain unchanged. Black fleecy track pants will replace the current royal blue track pants as an optional uniform item for both boys and girls. Black school trousers may also be worn by boys and girls, and girls may also wear black dance pants. Girls may wear black tights or stockings under their shorts, dress or culottes.

In response to feedback from students and families about keeping warm during the colder months, the P&C is also exploring options for a warmer school jumper. Further information will be shared with families if any changes are approved.

We are aiming for the new uniform arrangements to come into effect from Day 1, Term 1, 2027, with a seven-week grace period to allow families time to transition to the updated uniform. The new black unisex shorts will be available to purchase from 26 October 2026 through our school Uniform Shop. Please note that grey shorts will no longer be available for purchase.

As school photographs are scheduled for Term 1, Week 8, all students will be required to wear the new full school uniform for school photographs.

Please refer to the attached uniform price list for pricing and details of the items available through our on-site Uniform Shop. Items marked with an asterisk (*) indicate those stocked by our Uniform Shop. Other uniform items may be purchased from a retailer of your choice, as these are not stocked by the school.

We appreciate the feedback and support of our school community as we work together to maintain a practical, comfortable and consistent school uniform for all students.

Kind regards,

Sharlene Percival
